Mazarick Park is a multi-purpose park featuring fishing, boat rentals, a Frisbee Golf course, picnic shelters, and trails. A tennis court and baseball fi eld are available for a quick game. Picnic areas are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis unless they are reserved. For more information on shelter rentals, call 433-1547.

Fishing
Try your hand at fi shing from our 80 foot pier for some of the many species of fishes which inhabit Glenville Lake. All North Carolina and City of Fayetteville fishing regulations, ordinances and license requirements are enforced. Pole and line fishing only. Netting of any fi sh is prohibited.

Fishing Tackle Loaner Program
Borrow a rod and reel for 24 hours and go fishing. Participants 16 and under will receive a free starter tackle box upon the fi rst occasion of returning the loaned rod and reel. A driver's license is required to register.

Boat Rentals
Rent a Jon boat for an hour, a half-day or a full-day of boating or fi shing on Glenville Lake. Renters must be 18 years of age with a valid picture identifi cation card or driver's license. Boat availability is subject to season and weather conditions.
Renters: 18+; Daily; $2/hour; $5/half-day; $10/full-day
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Join a park ranger to learn about a variety of nature subjects from fishing to snakes and nature crafts. Meet at the Mazarick Park office.
Orienteering Basic Course
A park ranger will provide hands on instruction in compass use and map reading. Participants will use these skills to navigate several orienteering courses within the park. Call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 16 participants.

Snakes Alive
North Carolina has 36 species of these amazing animals. Join a park ranger who will teach you all about these often feared and misunderstood reptiles. Please call to preregister. Class size is limited to 30 participants.

Animal Tracking
Learn to identify different animal tracks and signs found in Mazarick Park. Search for clues with a park ranger on a guided hike. Please call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Scout Forester Outdoor Activity Badge Program
A Mazarick Park Ranger can help scouts earn their Forester Outdoor Activity Badge with a variety of lessons that meet badge requirement needs. Please call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Scout Naturalist Outdoor Activity Badge Program
Mazarick Park Ranger will give tour and instructions relating to being a Naturalist. If you like watching wildlife, you're already a Naturalist. Please call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Scout Geologist Outdoor Activity Badge Program
Mazarick Park Rangers can help scouts earn their Geologist Activity Badge. Learn earth's history not from books, but from the hands on study of reading rocks. Please call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 30 participants.

Mazarick Park Nature Hike
Walking is fun and great exercise for all ages. Walking with a Mazarick Park ranger you will learn about things most people pass without noticing. Seasonal nature themes. Please call to pre-register. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Saturday Children's Nature Fun Time
Why watch cartoons on Saturday morning? Bring the kids to Mazarick Park and listen to children's stories featuring big picture story books, indoor and outdoor games, and making crafts that are related to the story topic. Animal story themes include owls, otters, fire flies, and turtles. Please call to pre-register. Class size limited to 20 participants.

Native American Culture
Pottery and stone tools are just a few of the clues left behind by North Carolina's earliest inhabitants. Learn about the fascinating lives of Native Americans in our state before European contact. Explore how they made tools, prepared food, made clothes, and other aspects of their lives. Meet at the park offi ce. Call to register by March 4.

Mazarick Critters
Did you know that we have Park Rangers at Mazarick Park? Visit the park and join a ranger guided program that will help you get acquainted with our parks fine, furry, feathery and scaly friends. Learn about animal characteristics, habitat and how they survive at Mazarick Park. Please call to pre-register. Class size limited to 30 participants.

Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs have captured the imagination of both children and adults for decades. Learn about these spectacular ancient creatures, their world, and which dinosaurs once lived in North Carolina. Other prehistoric animals from NC will be covered also. Find out about new discoveries, old favorites, and revelations about how these animals lived and what ultimately happened to them.

Archery Clinic
The archery class is designed to introduce the sport of archery to beginners. Although most participants are children, adults are welcome also. Participants will use state of the art compound bows as they learn the basics of archery. Safety, proper stance and follow through will be taught. You will be hitting the bull's eye in no time! Register by the day before the class. Space is limited.
