Open Gym
The gym will be open to shoot around or play a game of basketball with others. Participants under 18 must have a permission form completed by a parent or guardian in order to participate. Participants over 13 must have a picture ID. Open Gym is suspended when athletic events are scheduled
in the gym.

A Unique S.C.E.N.T.
If you enjoy listening to live music then join us for Senior Citizens Entertainment Night every Tues. Each night will feature a style of music such as bluegrass, country /western, gospel and oldies. If you are interested in showcasing your musical talent, then call for more information and sign up to
perform.

Basic Skills Review/GED Classes
Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is offering tuition free Basic Skill Review classes in reading, math, writing, and general education diploma (GED) preparation classes. Please contact Phillip Crawford 678-8497/8299 or Linda Robotham 678-8483 of FTCC for entry testing procedures.

Tang Soo Do Karate and Self Defense
Tang Soo Do is an art form that enhances awareness and well-being. The combat academy of Tang Soo Do offers demo teams, board breaking, sparring, tournaments and belt advancement. This family oriented class teaches self-defense, physical fitness and discipline is for beginner,
intermediate and advanced martial arts students.

Snacks and Strokes
Come enjoy an evening of painting with friends and snacks. Bring your favorite snack and we’ll provide the supplies to paint your own canvas masterpiece! A different painting each month with step-by-step directions to help you bring out your inner Picasso! Visit the recreation center lobby for example painting each month.

Healthy Helpers Cooking Class
If your kids enjoy cooking or helping out in the kitchen then bring them to the recreation center for a class they will enjoy. Kids will learn basic kitchen safety and make their own healthy dinner. No supplies needed, but space is limited so sign up early. Please call the center to preregister or for more information.

Yvette’s Dance Academy
In this upbeat and exciting class participants learn basic techniques and fundamentals of dance. This class also improves coordination, flexibility and endurance. Beginners and intermediate students are welcomed as they will learn ballet, tap, tumbling, hip hop, and jazz.

Zumba
Zumba is a dance fitness program that fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness class. Burn calories and have fun doing it during the hour of heart racing, muscle pumping, and body energizing movements that will engage and captivate you.
Take advantage of our Preschool Play Hour program and bring your toddler while you workout!

Preschool Play Hour
Help your child develop necessary social skills through interaction with other children and have a great time. Studies show that a child will develop coordination, gross motor skills and social development just by playing with other children. We’ll provide supplies so you and your child can play together and with others.

Walkie Talkies
If you are looking for a place to walk indoors then come to the recreation center. Join others that are already taking advantage of our walking program. Call the recreation center for updated days and times.

Tumbling Classes
Tumbling helps develop balance, strength, flexibility and coordination. In this class you’ll learn movement exploration, forward/backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, walkover, and much more!

Beginning Guitar Lessons
Interested in learning how to play the guitar or need a refresher course? Join this class to learn all the basic skills you’ll need. This class provides quality guitar instruction for all ages.

T.E.A.M.
Come be a part of our T.E.A.M. (Teens in the Eastover Area Making a difference). This program is for teens that enjoy helping others and their community. Members will engage in community service projects, mentoring elementary students, assist in planning other teen programs and
partake in fun activities and trips.

War Gaming
Have you ever wanted to get into the war gaming hobby but weren't really sure where to start? Then come to the center on the fourth Fri. of the month to see games in action. If you're already into the hobby, bring your miniatures and play your friends or make some new ones. If you're just starting, bring your unpainted miniatures and paint them at the center.

Silver Cinema
Come join us for senior citizens movie night. We’ll have refreshments and watch your favorite movie on the projector screen.

Back to School Dance
Celebrate the beginning of the school year with a dance. Have fun with your friends and make new ones. Tickets are only sold in advance and will be available until Sept. 29.

Creepy Cookies and Carvings
Come decorate cookies or carve your way into a pumpkin pie. We’ll have a pumpkin carving contest where the winner gets a pumpkin pie. If you don’t want to carve a pumpkin you can munch on cookies that you’ve decorated. Bring your pumpkin and we’ll supply the rest!

Basketball Clinic
Join us for the 5th annual basketball clinic and learn the fundamentals from experienced players and coaches. Participants will learn the important aspects of defense, offense, dribbling and shooting through various drills and exercises.

Senior Social with Santa
