Open Gym
Enjoy playing basketball? Then come out and play! Youth 7-17 years must have a current permission form on file; must be renewed annually. Open gym is on-going with exception to scheduled recreation center programs/activities.

Little Chefs
The Little Chefs program is designed to help develop and teach children proper cooking skills while encouraging positive eating habits and the importance of healthy foods. Children are encouraged to practice food preparation skills, and learn about different cultural foods of the world. Must
be pre-registered one week prior to each Fri.

Gray’s Creek Outreach Senior Club
The Grays Creek “Outreach” Senior Citizens Club is the place to be if you enjoy fellowship, fun, and laughter. Activities include informational speakers, games, arts and crafts, trips and covered dish lunches. Membership in the club gives access to city/county wide activities such as the
Annual Christmas Banquet, the Fish Fry, and more. Come join today!

Better Health Diabetic Clinic
Better Health of Cumberland County holds weekly Diabetic Screenings, Clinics, Management Plans and other services for diabetics.

Coats for Kids
Each winter most children will grow out of their old coats. If you have nothing to do with those old coats, then bring them up to the recreation center. We are collecting children’s winter coats in hopes to donate them to families in the community, whose children need warm coats. Stop by the recreation center during hours of operation to drop off your coats. The recreation center would like to thank you for your help.

Beginner Ballet/Tap
An hour of class time with 30 minutes focusing on basic Ballet technique and 30 minutes focusing on Tap. Students will learn performance pieces during class.
3-5 yrs; Thurs.; 6-7 pm; $30/month

Intermediate Ballet/ Tap
An hour of class time designed to teach students Ballet and Tap technique and performance pieces. This class is for students who have had some dance training.
6-10 yrs; Tues.; 6-7 pm; $30/month

Hip Hop
This high energy class is perfect for any dancers who love to move! Dancers will learn choreography and create their own routines. This class is open to all skill levels of dance.
7+; Thurs.; 7-8 pm; $30/month

Mommy & Me
Here is a chance for your child to get a jump start on ballet; this class is for moms and their little ones. Thirty minutes of time with your child while they learn the basics of ballet.
1-1/2-2-1/2 yrs; Tues.; 7-7:30 pm; $20/month

Tae Kwon Do
This class offers academic achievement, self-discipline, and physical fitness. Sessions begin the first Mon. of each month.
5+; Mon. and Fri.; Beginners 6-7 pm; Intermediate 7-8 pm; $25/month

Beginner Guitar Lessons
One-hour course designed to introduce the player to the guitar. Students will become acquainted with basic chords, tablature, scales, notation, and theory. Music from pop, rock, folk, country, and other genres will be explored.
10+; Thurs.; 6-7 pm; $25/month

Intermediate Guitar Lessons:
Students will continue their musical skill development on the guitar. Chords, progressions, scales, and music of a more difficult magnitude will be explored, encouraging the player to develop into a self-sufficient guitarist.

Piyo (Pilates & Yoga)
Piyo is a mixture of Yoga poses and Pilate’s moves, puttogether to create a great cross training workout with various formats where your body can use its muscles in different ways. It is unique class designed to build strength and gain flexibility.
16+; Mon. and Fri.; 5:15-6:15 pm; $25/month

Body Pump
The original weight training class that builds strength, tones your body, burns 560 calories an hour, and pushes you to the limit every time. This sixty minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises to include squats, presses, lifts, and
curls.

Zumba
This program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away. We want you, to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked on an exciting hour of calorie burning, body energizing, awe inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Zumba-Atomic
A combination of dance and fitness moves to Latin and international rhythms and music, geared towards kids between the ages of 4 and 12 years old, the Zumb-Atomic program has been designed to be safe and effective while getting kids of all body types and backgrounds up and exercising, and not just exercising, but having FUN! The class will be held in eight week sessions starting in Sept.
4-7 yrs; Tues.; 5:30-6:30 pm; $10/week; $5 for second family member
8-12 yrs; Tues.; 6:30-7:30 pm; $10/week; $5 for second family member

Cheerleading
Learn the basics of cheerleading, and get yourself prepared for the upcoming season.

Tumbling
This class gives your children the opportunity to learn the basics of tumbling, to include rolls, cart wheels, hand springs, and flexibility.
3-4 yrs; Wed.; 5:45-6:45 pm; $25/month

8-10 yrs; Wed.; 7:15-8:00 pm; $25/month

SPECIAL EVENTS

7th Annual Fall Festival
Bring out the entire family for a day of fun, food, games, prizes and entertainment. The 7th annual Fall Festival is back, and is going to be better than years before! If you came last year we hope to see you again, this time with more family and friends. Make sure to pre-register your family so we can plan accordingly. Special attractions include the Operation Cease Fire Command Post, local Fire/Rescue vehicles will be on display and much, much, more! Free food and fun events like pumpkin carving, and bounce houses will be available. For more information contact the Gray’s Creek Recreation Center.

Variety Show
Parents come out to see what different programs our facility offers as current participants of our programs perform a wide variety of activities to include ballet/tap, guitar, Tae Kwon Do, Tumbling, Cheerleading, Gray’s Creek Girl Scouts, L.E.A.P, and the Gray’s Creek Ruritan Club.

Winter Carnival
Enjoy Gray’s Creeks first Winter Carnival with your family. There will be carnival games, cake walk, inflatables, concessions, face painting, coloring contest and last bu not least “Santa” himself. Make sure you pre-register your family so we may plan accordingly.

Spaghetti Dinner
We know that life can be busy so let us help take some stress off by joining us as we have our first ever community spaghetti dinner. Dinner will include spaghetti, bread, and a drink. You may dine in at the recreation center or take your plates to go. Purchasing plates in advanced is strongly
encouraged, but not necessary.
