Walking for Fitness
Looking for an inexpensive way to lose weight and strength your overall general health, then start walking around our spacious grounds or the inside facility. Come on out and walk your way to a healthier y-o-u.

Outdoor Basketball
Enjoy the fresh air and practice your shot on the outdoor basketball court. This area has lights for night play.

Youth Free Play
Youth can socialize as they play small games, bumper pool, billiards, chess, checkers, video games and basketball.
6-17 yrs; Mon.-Sat.; 4-7 pm; Sat. 10 am-3 pm; Free

Adult Free Play Basketball
Show off your skills! Adults can improve your basketball techniques amongst their peers.

After School Tutoring
Stay ahead of the game and keep your studies in order. Assistance is provided in Reading, Math, English and Science.

Tae Kwon Do
Learn self-control and discipline while you get physically fit through one of the oldest form of martial arts.

Community Choir
Have thoughts about being a singer or performer then this is the group for you. The choir will learn songs and musical routines that they will perform at various functions throughout the year.

Keeping It Moving
Need to lose pounds or tone your body in order to get fit for the fall and winter activities, or simply desire to become healthier and increase your stamina.

Adult Game Nights
Looking for a social outing where you can sharpen up your Dominos, Spades and Bid Whist games. Bring your partner along with you and try to become the player or team of the month. Rules for the games will be announced before play begins.

Arts in the Garden
Children will learn how to plant, grow and care for vegetables, flowers and herbs in the City’s Community Garden. Participants will design and construct monthly artistic features and decorations for their garden plot.

Little Chefs – Cooking Class
Children learn how to prepare simple meals and snacks that are nutritious and healthy. Instructions will be on meal selection, food preparation, cooking and use of utensils.

Join us for a fun-filled trip to Raleigh, NC to spend a day at the North Carolina State Fair. Participants must cover the cost of admission into the fair.

Autumn Dance
Youth dance provides children an opportunity to socialize with one another while showcasing the latest dance moves.

Early Bird Shopping

Christmas Craft Class
Discover and create new holiday ideas just in time for Christmas to share with family and friends. Each new craft made will be yours to keep and marvel.

Sharing the Spirit of Giving
A program co-sponsored with Friendship Baptist Church. Children will enjoy games, songs, fellowship and refreshments. Each participant will receive a gift.

New Year Jam
Youth can jam the New Year in with those hip moves. Enjoy dancing and mingling with friends.

Black Heritage Program
Enjoy the history of black heritage through poetry, skits and music. Souvenirs and light refreshments will be served.
