Ru Ru's Teen Dance Class
This youth dance class is designed to provide proper etiquette, leadership, and social skills. These skills are learned through a variety of dance styles. The Ladies of Influence (Youth Serving to Improve the Community)
This teen program is designed to give elementary to high school students, primarily females, the opportunity to learn self-awareness, business etiquette, public service and cultural diversity. These programs benefi t the Myers service area, as well as the City of Fayetteville. The members plan their own volunteer programs, fundraising and social activities. Each member also has a role or responsibility
within the group also holds seminars on confl ict resolution, leadership skills, and organizational skills.

This series is designed to increase the awareness of physical activity. Our goal is to inspire you to achieve a life of good healthy habits and fi tness.

Get Fit Youth Challenge Mind, Body and Healthy Eating
This series teaches children about healthy living. This series is designed to increase the awareness of healthy eating habits and increase physical activity. And also, to provide children with information that will help them eat healthier and become more physically active. Our goal is to inspire them to achieve a life of good healthy habits and fi tness and decrease childhood obesity. Awards will be given.

Homebuyer's Workshops
Consumer credit counseling service of Cumberland County will host a homebuyer's workshop for those who wish to get educated on buying a home and learning how to avoid the common mistakes people make. Make plans to be at one of these informative workshops.

The G.B. Myers Neighborhood Association Our citizens within the G.B Myers Community meet to discuss and address community concerns. These meetings assist in developing and implementing an action plan. We welcome and will appreciate the attendance of all citizens in close proximity to Geraldine Myers Recreation Center. All ideas to address community concerns will be respected and considered at these meetings.

The Sassy Women of Distinction
We are pleased to announce that the Sassy Women of Distinction, a Fayetteville chapter of the Red Hat
Society, have joined us at G.B. Myers Recreation Center. The purpose of the Red Hat Society is to foster fun, health and engage in social interaction. The Women of Distinction also encourage endearing friendships in women in various seasons of their lives. The Red Hat Society is not a sorority or a voluntary service club. Members 50 and over wear red hats and purple attire to all social gatherings and outings. Any women under the age of 50 may also become a member, but she wears a pink hat and lavender attire to the Society's events until reaching her 50th birthday. Special occasions will be announced at each gathering.

Drums, Piano and Guitar Lessons
With one-on-one instruction, you will be playing tunes in no time. Students in this program learn the skills needed to take them from the novice to the expert! Students will learn songs, voices, rhythm, musical patterns and notations. Participants must purchase their own music book. Piano lessons are in 30-minute increments, drums and guitar lessons are in 1 hour increments.

If you enjoy coming to the Myers Swing Dance Class on Thurs. nights and you want to improve your dancing skills, get a step ahead by taking dance lessons at Myers Recreation Center. Learn Salsa, Meringue and other Caribbean dances along with the sounds of today's popular music. Myers Community Gardens (Improving the quality of life for people by gardening)
The goal of this project is to stimulate social interaction, encourage self-reliance and beautify the neighborhood while producing nutritious food. It would allow people to feel pride in knowing that they have a helping hand in the development of the garden. Reduce family food budgets create opportunity for recreation, exercise, therapy, and education. Reduce crime, preserve green space and provide opportunities for intergenerational and cross-cultural connections.

Myers Imperialistic Step Team
We are pleased to introduce the Imperialistic Step Team. This team ensures one on one instruction and
demonstrations to help utilize the body as well as the mind. This team will focus on using creativity, rhythym, conditioning, organization and most importantly, good sportsmanship. Our goal is to assist adolescents in developing idealistic views on being apart of a unified team and the opportunity to invest their time doing something positive.
