Ru Ru’s Teen Dance Class
This youth dance class is designed to provide proper etiquette, leadership, and social skills. These skills are learned through a variety of dance styles. Shades of Image, Inc. (Youth Serving to Improve the Community)
This teen program is designed to give elementary to high school students, primarily females, the opportunity to learn, Self Awareness, Business Etiquette, Public Service and Cultural Diversity. These programs benefit the Myers service area, as well as the city of Fayetteville. The members
plan their own volunteer programs, fundraising and social activities. Each member also has a role or responsibility within the group also holds seminars on conflict resolution, leadership skills, and organizational skills.

The G.B. Myers Neighborhood Association
Our citizens within the G.B Myers Community meet to discuss and address community concerns. These meetings assist in developing and implementing an action plan. We welcome and will appreciate the attendance of all citizens in close proximity to Myers Recreation Center. All ideas
to address community concerns will be respected and considered at these meetings.

The Sassy Women of Distinction
We are pleased to announce that the Sassy Women of Distinction, a Fayetteville chapter of the Red Hat Society, have joined us Myers Recreation Center. The purpose of the Red Hat Society is to foster fun, health and engage in social interaction. The Women of Distinction also encourage
endearing friendships in women in various seasons of their lives. The Red Hat Society is not a sorority or a voluntary service club. Members 50 and over wear red hats and purple attire to all social gatherings and outings. Any women under the age of 50 may also become a member, but she wears a pink hat and lavender attire to the Society's events until reaching her 50th birthday. Special occasions will be announced at each gathering.

Learn Salsa, Meringue, and other Caribbean dances along with the sounds of today's popular music. Start-Right Sports Clinic
Parents bring your preschoolers out and give them a head start to develop motor skills, coordination, and give them a positive outlet for all that energy! Various activities will be featured to help your child learn skills for football, basketball, baseball, the obstacle course and. A parent,
older sibling, or other responsible adult must stay with the child to work with him or her as the Activity Coach leads them through the steps to learn the skills. This is a great way to spend quality time with your child, while gaining knowledge about each sport he or she plays without pressure on performance. This program begins in Sept.

Myers Community Gardens(Improving the quality of life for people in the garden)
The goal of this project is for neighborhood and community development. To stimulate social interaction, encourage self-reliance, beautify the neighborhood, and to producenutritious food. It would allow people to watch the garden grow and feel pride in knowing that they have a helping
hand in the development of such a thing. Reduce family food budgets, create opportunity for recreation, exercise, therapy, and education. Reduce crime, preserve green space and provide opportunities for intergenerational and cross-cultural connections.
