Open Play
Compete in a game of table tennis, air hockey, foosball, or video games in our game room.

Mommy-and-Me Playgroup
Bring your child to the center for a weekly playgroup with other children their age. Help establish social skills early and have fun while doing so! Toys provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Book Swap and Drop
Do you have some children books that you do not use anymore and are cluttering your bookshelves? Bring your slightly used book and switch it out for one your child hasn’t read. Program is available any time the recreation center is open.

Coaches Needed
Coaches are needed at Pine Forest Recreation Center for all sports. Stop by the recreation center for more information or to volunteer.

Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts brings girls together for the purpose of helping them develop a sense of responsibility, commit themselves to the highest ideals, and foster teamwork so they can learn to support one another. www.nccoastalpines.org

Second Harvest Food Drive
Help others by supporting your local food bank. This food drive will be held the week of Dec. 6-10. Bring non-perishable foods to the recreation center during normal operational hours.

Youth and Adult Karate
This class offers physical fitness, self-discipline, and excitement in a non-violent and drug-free atmosphere. Karate is also is an excellent form of women’s self defense. Belt testing and advancement are available for an additional fee. Please contact center for session dates.

Tae Kwon Do
Originating in Korea more than 2,000 years ago, Tae Kwon Do has grown more popular in recent years. Join our class and find out what all the excitement is about. Learn the techniques of Tae Kwon Do and get a workout at the same time. Please contact center for session dates

Pami-kol
If you’re looking for a martial arts program with a different approach, check out Pami-kol, a comprehensive martial art born from a variety of styles refined to the very best techniques…techniques that are quick and easily taught. The class is designed as a stair-step approach where each
level or standard builds upon previously learned skills. Some of the building blocks include general discipline, stances and footwork, unlocking locks and counter locks, blocking techniques, scenario training, and black belt techniques.

Kathy Pate’s Stepping & Stuff
Come and join us in a basic to intermediate step class with low and high impact moves. We also have a mix of floor aerobics, toning, strength training, and abs. All equipment provided.
13+; Mon., Wed., and Fri.; 5:30-6:30 pm; $20/month, $15/month for seniors (55+) and students, or $35/month for a family

Turning Point Dance Classes
Learn the different dance techniques of jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, and lyrical. No prior experience needed. Come and try out the first class for free!

Steph’s Zumba Fitness Party
Do you want to work out and forget that you’re working out? Join Steph’s Zumba Fitness Party! Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International dance combined with fitness. No dance experience needed. You will sweat and burn 400-900 calories per class. Try your first class for free!

Guitar
Interested in learning how to play the guitar well here is your chance. Students will learn the skills needed to advance. They will learn notations, songs, music patternsand rhythm.
