Westover Walking Seniors
Seniors, walk in a safe and comfortable environment. If you're getting back on your feet after surgery or just trying to stay in shape, the Westover Recreation Center is open for walkers.

Morning Aerobics and Fitness
Westover Recreation Center offers a morning fitness class that incorporates stretching and low-impact aerobics. Novice and beginner adults who are not completely ready for advanced aerobics can use this class to increase flexibility, cardiovascular health, and muscular durability. Active seniors or adult beginners who want a fitness program designed for them should consider attending this class.

Table Tennis Challenge
This program offers an opportunity for adults to improve their table tennis game, learn the art of the game, or just simply enjoy a competitive challenge.

Open Gym
Enjoy playing basketball? Then come to open gym and work on your basketball skills while improving your health along with others your age. High School students should be prepared to present picture identification. Gym shoes and clothes must be worn.

Swing Dance Class
This class is designed to teach a wide variety of dance styles and techniques to a new age sound. This program offers a night filled with exhilarating and enjoyable dancing giving participants the opportunity to meet new people in a safe and comfortable environment. Everyone is welcome; couples, singles, and families. A Celebration of Life is held the 4th Thur. of each month; participants bring a cover dish
and dance the night away.

Teen Connections
Teen Connections is a part of Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina and is a 12-week peer education program that teaches adolescents to make life-long and responsible choices based on their own ethics and values. In addition, Teen Connections is an excellent source for life skills training and job experience.

Got Hula?
Hula Dance classes are offered for children and adults that are interested in learning traditional Hula dances and the ways of the Hawaiian culture. Participants wear traditional regalia and perform at events throughout the year.

Bellydancing by Ruhiyyih
Ruhiyyih takes an all-inclusive approach to bellydance, believing that students should be taught choreography, history, culture, and musical interpretation. Her "Learn to Bellydance" class covers the basic bellydance theory and movements, and how to created your own dance to your own style. The "Cardio Bellydance Workout" uses traditional and modern moves focused on muscle articulation, endurance, aerobic dance and fat loss. Pre-registration is required.

Do you want to decrease weight gain and slow aging? Are you interested in keeping your mind sharp and improving your sleep? Yoga stretches and strengthens the body through various poses, along with improving the mind and spirit. Yoga will help you strive for physical wellbeing, while strengthening your spiritual wellbeing simultaneously! Pre-registration is required.

Teddy Bear Preschool Club
The Teddy Bear Club is a program that incorporates crafts projects, games and a daily snack. Children learn how to follow directions and socialize with their peers in a structured setting.

Self-Defense
Self Defense class is designed to help participants increase focus, concentration, discipline, respect, self-confidence, and physical fitness.

Area elementary students are invited to Sweet Valentine's Dance for an evening of dancing fun.
