Picnic Pavilions

Arnette Park
The park is on old Highway 87, about four miles south of downtown Fayetteville. It has a combination of developed facilities and natural woodland. Amenities include picnic pavilions, nature trails, 18 hole disc golf course, football and soccer fields, softball fields, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and playgrounds. Call the park for information on holding your event; fees are based on group size. The ball fields and courts can also be rented separately. 433-1547

Mazarick Park
The park is located off Bragg Blvd. (accessed from Pearl or Westmont Street) adjacent to Glenville Lake. Amenities include shelters, a building, fishing pier, walking trails, disc golf, playground units, softball field and tennis courts. 433-1547

Pavilion #1 - 16 tables seating 110 persons, 4 grill units

Pavilion #2 - Six tables, seats 40, 4 grill units

Pavilion #3 - Six tables, seats 35, 2 grill units

Building - Seats 80, small kitchen, restrooms inside, picnic tables on deck, one grill on deck

Lake Rim Park

This facility is on Old Raeford Road between Reilly and Cliffdale Roads. Amenities include picnic areas, walking trails, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, multipurpose field, soccer and football fields and playgrounds. Two pavilions are available for reservation for groups up to 100 persons. The courts and ball fields can also be rented separately. Call the park for fee information and to make your reservation.

Rowan Park
Centrally located near downtown on Rowan & Woodside Streets, the park’s unique blend of landscape features makes it a great place for an impromptu picnic, taking children to the playground, or just enjoying the day outdoors. The picnic pavilion requires no reservation.

Cross Creek Park/Fountain
This very popular location for weddings and other special occasions is downtown on Green Street. The landscaping contains trees, shrubs and seasonal flowers that enhance this formal outdoor setting. Reservations can be made at the City Hall office. 433-1547

Mable C. Smith Park
Shadbush Lane off Deep Creek Road, east of the Cape Fear River. This is one of the newest parks available to citizens. The pavilion has picnic tables that seat about 80 people. There are two permanent restrooms, one grill station, a gravel walking trail, two basketball courts, a multipurpose field and playground. Call for reservation availability and fees, 433-1547.

Honeycutt Park
Co-located with Kiwanis Recreation Center on Devers Street off Fort Bragg Road. The park has a small pavilion, paved walking path, open grass area, two playgrounds including one exclusively for toddlers, and three baseball fields. Call the recreation center for more information on reserving the pavilion for parties. 433-1568

Seabrook Park
Co-located with Smith Recreation Center, the park has a large shaded pavilion, two grill stations, two playgrounds and basketball courts. Seabrook Pool, the only public swimming facility in the county, is also in the park. Call the center for rental information. 433-1571

Christina S. Smith Park
Co-located at JS Spivey Recreation Center, Fisher Road off Wilmington Road, the park has a pavilion that seats about 80 persons, permanent restrooms, basketball and sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, playground, and ball fields. There is also a splash pad in the park, open daily on a seasonal basis. The splash pad is a variety of water features on a flat surface that spray water.
