This class is designed to develop your child physical and social abilities through the body movement and group participation. They will learn basic tumbling skills with instruction on balance, rolls, flexibility, body position, cartwheels, bridge work, handstands, back-bends, and walkovers.

Start off on the right foot! Let our instructor guide you through the fundamental movements, combinations and music appreciation in the Beginners class. Those comfortable with the basics can explore a variety of choreographic in the Intermediate class while improving retention coordination and technique. Experience the camaraderie of troupe dancing in the Advance class where emphasis is placed on performance skills and the dynamic elements of group dances.

Want to learn drawing and painting techniques? Learn to draw volume and perspective. Painting with acrylic on frame; techniques with pastels, still life subjects, landscape, human figure and for smaller painting techniques with hands, brushes, mops, sponges and many ideas for fun while painting. Painting also helps children use their senses, express emotion, explore process and outcomes of color.

*Making Proud Choices*
Making Proud Choices is a free multi-session teen health program focused on training youth ages 14-19 as Peer Health Educators. Peer Health Educators learn how to think and act responsibly around their health and well-being. It allows them to build their health advocacy skills related to healthy relationships and communication, as well as abstinence and teen pregnancy prevention. The goal is to empower young people to think critically about their impact as young leaders, allowing them to earn valuable community leadership experience. Dinner is provided during each class meeting. Parents and guardians must complete an application for their teen to participate in the program. For more information contact (910) 729-0971.
The Health Improvement Project, or HIP, is a free 4 session HIV-prevention program for teens ages 14-19 that provides medically-accurate health information related to setting healthy personal boundaries, resisting peer pressure, and interpersonal communication, as well as STD prevention and abstinence. Once teens have completed the program, they become Peer Health Educators, which looks great on a college application or resume! *This program is a continuation of the Making Proud Choices program, but no pre-requisite classes are required to participate.

Pulse Zone Training (ZT) is a 45 min High Intensity Interval Training circuit small group personal training program for individuals who prefer the extra motivation and accountability of working in a group setting. Workouts are designed to build lean muscle and burn body fat. These workouts are structured and designed like a personal training program giving all of the same advantages of proper training. Classes taught by Certified Personal Trainer & Corrective Exercise Specialist. Yoga mat, towel and water is required.

Taekwondo is Korean martial arts often called Korean Karate. Hapkido / Ho Sin Sool – Self Defense is the study on how to use an attacker’s strength and weapons against him or her. The practitioner learns when, how and where to attack an assailant using “pressure points” (areas of the body that when pressed or struck can cause intense pain), grappling and joint locking techniques and throws.
